Pre-Season Hit Around

Feb
08

Join us for a pre-season hit around and a casual game to blast the cobwebs from the system before trials. We all know the pain after the first game of the season... so get it over and done with so you've got your A game cranking for trials when it is most important!

We have the turf from 7:30pm to 8:30pm on Wednesday 15 February at Gallagher Hockey Centre. Turn up a bit early for a warm-up and stretch so we can hit the turf on time.

If you can't make trials this is another opportunity to have a run around. Everyone is welcome!

Annual General Meeting - 16th November 2015

Oct
21

Members are formally notified of the Annual General Meeting of Waikato University Hockey Club to be held at 6.30 pm on Monday, 16th November 2015.

It is important for as many people to come along as possible and get involved with how the club is run (come along even if you don't want to join the committee!). The main feature of the evening will be the election of the executive positions - if you would like to nominate someone for a position or stand for one yourself, please get in touch. The major roles are:

President
Secretary
Treasurer
Equipment Officer
Mens Club Captain
Womens Club Captain

There is also plenty of room for people who want to be involved and help out when they can, without being in an executive position. We're especially keen to have extra people onboard who want to help out with club social events throughout the season. Many hands make light work, and the more people involved then the easier it is for everyone and the smoother the club runs!

Financial Accounts for 2014-2015 season will be presented.

Apologies and nominations to president@varsityhockey.co.nz

Op Shop Ball

Jul
01

It's back!

For those of you who are new to the club or who haven't been to this event before: the op-shop ball is a chance to party and dance the night away with club mates - the only catch is that your outfit has to be sourced from an op-shop.

This year the theme is 'SPORTS', and tickets are just $10 from the coaching staff or on the door

For some inspiration we'll be posting pictures in the coming weeks but get into those op-shops early to secure yourself something spectacular!

Live band on the night and we'll figure out some competitions to get you in the mood.

Bar open and we will be putting on some food for ya'll

PLEASE BRING CASH FOR THE DOOR AND TAXIS
